At Bridgeview we recognise our pupils require personalised help, support & learning - often with a number of social, emotional & mental health needs. That's why all of our pupils benefit from a tailored programme of pastoral support within the classroom, specialist interventions & through multi-agency support. We work closely with parents/carers & professionals in a holistic way to ensure we have a 360 degree view of the child, their needs & circumstances. We work hard to gather & to create emotional well-being assessments to give us a baseline and an ongoing review of the pupil's social & emotional development.
Our entire curriculum and overall ethos at our school is centred on teaching children important life skills to help them regulate their emotions and develop social skills whilst learning across the national curriculum & extra curricular activities.
Our class staff team receive a wide range of special educational needs training internally & externally on a weekly basis to continue developing their professional development. We hold debrief meetings at the end of each day to discuss positives and any concerns to collectively identify ways forward.
Our classrooms are interactive, visual & promote positive praise throughout the day. As a school we actively listen to pupil's and parental views & collectively work together to achieve a result.
Parents/carers are welcomed to join our parent carers group at 10am on a Friday. If you are interested - please speak to our reception.
