Bridgeview School goes from strength to strength!
Bridgeview School from 1st January 2013 has been redesignated to a Day School for Key Stage 1 and 2 children with Behaviour Emotional and Social Difficulties (BESD). The following comments made during our last Ofsted Inspection (January 2012) were based on our previous designation as an Residential Special school for children with BESD.
Ofsted January 2012 commented
'Bridgeview is a good school'
'The overall effectiveness of the boarding provision is outstanding. Pupils benefit enormously from their residential experience and the excellent individual support they receive'
Parental comments during the Ofsted Inspection 2012
'My son has come on leaps and bounds'
'The staff have such a positive attitude and are inspired'
Bridgeview is continuing to build on its success as a caring environment by ensuring that a these practices are continued during the school day and during its extended activities. The schools restructure ensured that skills which were developed in its previous residential provision were utilised and expanded on during the school day. This is also underpinned by the schools restorative aproach to behavioural issues ensuring that both pupils, staff and parents take ownership of their decisions and actions.
